1. Overview & Commitment to Privacy
Miraq LABS Pvt Ltd ('Miraq POS', 'we', 'our', or 'us') is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your business and retail store data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, store, process, and protect your information when using the Miraq POS Desktop application and Web management platform.
2. Local SQLite Storage & Offline First
Miraq POS operates on an 'Offline First' architecture. Your store products, inventory levels, sales records, and customer details are primarily stored inside a local SQLite database directly on your computer. We do not access, sell, or analyze your local offline database contents.
3. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect basic registration information including your name, store/business name, email address, and encrypted credentials. If you upgrade to Miraq POS Pro, cloud synchronization stores encrypted sales backups on our secure cloud servers solely to enable cross-device sync and reporting.
4. Data Retention & Purging Policy
To optimize system performance, sales history for Free Tier accounts is purged on the 1st of each month for the preceding month. Miraq POS Pro subscribers enjoy extended 3-month retention. Automated PDF sales summaries are emailed to your registered admin address prior to any scheduled purge.
5. Payment Security & Third-Party Processors
Payment transactions for subscriptions and licensing are processed via PayHere, a PCI-DSS compliant Sri Lankan payment gateway. We do not store credit card, debit card, or CVV numbers on our servers. One-Time Passwords (OTP) for account verification are delivered via Brevo secure transactional email.
6. No Third-Party Data Sharing
We never rent, trade, or sell your personal or business data to advertising networks or third-party brokers. Information is shared strictly when required by law or to provide critical system infrastructure.
7. User Rights & Data Export
You have the right to request access to your stored account data, request account closure, or export your sales and customer datasets into CSV/PDF formats at any time using the built-in export features in Miraq POS.
